About the Department
The Department of Information Technology was established in the year 2000 to produce agile, innovative, and industry-ready software engineers. It features 4 state-of-the-art software development and computing laboratories equipped with over 120 high-performance workstations, gigabit network infrastructure, and dedicated servers for enterprise application deployment, machine learning pipelines, and cloud prototyping.
Key Highlights
- FOSS GCEE: Founded by the pioneering students of the Department of Information Technology (Batch 2023-27), FOSS GCEE is the official campus open-source community promoting Linux systems, Git collaboration, hackathons, and global open-source software contributions.
- Dynamic Curriculum: Advanced training across Full Stack Development, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Mobile App Development, and Distributed Data Systems.
- Placement & Industry Readiness: Excellent placement record with students hired by leading technology organizations including Zoho, TCS Digital, CTS, Hexaware, and fast-growing tech startups.
