What Constitutes Ragging?

Ragging constitutes any disorderly conduct whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness any other student, indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities, or forcing any student to perform any act which causes shame, torment or embarrassment.

Strict Penalties under Law:

  • Immediate Suspension and Expulsion from College and Hostel.
  • FIR lodgement with Police under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Ragging Act.
  • Debarment from appearing in university examinations and admission to any other institution.
