Undergraduate Admissions (TNEA)
Admissions to 1st year B.E. / B.Tech degree programmes are conducted through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) single-window counselling administered by the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Chennai.
Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) examinations with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects are eligible as per Government of Tamil Nadu norms. Special reservations for 7.5% Government School students, First Graduate fee concessions, and PMSSS / Sports quota are applicable.
35% (IRT/STU Wards) Quota (IRT / STU Wards)
Special QuotaAs per Government directives, 35% of sanctioned seats across all engineering disciplines are reserved exclusively for the children / wards of employees of the Tamil Nadu State Transport Undertakings (STUs) and Institute of Road Transport (IRT).

Lateral Entry & Postgraduate Admissions
Diploma and B.Sc. degree holders are admitted directly into the 3rd semester (2nd year) through centralized Tamil Nadu Direct Second Year B.E./B.Tech admissions (LEA) with 20% additional supernumerary seats.
Candidates seeking admission to M.E. Structural Engineering (24 seats) and M.E. CSE (18 seats) must qualify in TANCET / CEETA-PG conducted by Anna University or hold a valid GATE score.
